Messi become the second scorer in the history of Argentine


Lionel Messi became the second best scorer in the history of Argentine, after raising his score to 37 international goal in 83 matches after recorded on two occasions to Paraguay (5-2) today at dawn Wednesday in South America eliminations qualifying to the World Cup.


Spanish Barcelona player exceeded former star Hernan Crespo (35 goals), and remained behind Gabriel Batistuta, who made 56 goals in 78 matches.


Messi and his companions are happy with the result that guaranteed them to qualify for the World Cup finals 2014 in Brazil.

Messi told FOX Sports TV about the victory: "I know how difficult it is to qualify, and this is the reward of all good work we have done,"

He added: "It was not easy playing under the bad pitch , but the most important thing was to seek to qualify,"

It is worth mentioning that Argentine is the only team which qualify to World Cup within the continent of South America, with the hosting contry Brazil.
