Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has revealed that Gareth Bale had cost €91 million (USD $123 million, £78 million). Cristiano Ronaldo is still the most expensive player ever (€94 million).

Perez told Intereconomia"Bale is insured for €91m, which is the amount he cost".

Gareth Bale had join Real Madrid in summer transfers coming from the English Tottenham but the financial value of the deal has remained unknown, Spanish media sources said that the deal coasted 91 million euros, while English newspapers said that the deal had exceeded 120 million euros.
