Ibrahimovic out for injury for several weeks

The absence of the Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, French Paris Saint Germain striker was confirmed for several weeks because of injury.

The French Paris Saint Germain club announced on Friday that the Swedish player Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be absent from the pitch for several weeks because of injury that he got at the English Chelsea match within the 1st leg of the quarter final of the European Champions League.

Paris Saint Germain coach Laurent Blanc confirmed that Ibra will not play the 2nd leg of the UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday against Chelsea.

Ibrahimovic was injured in his right thigh muscle and replaced in the middle of the second half of his match against Chelsea on Wednesday, which ended 3-1 for PSG..

Paris Saint Germain did not secure his place in the UEFA Champions League semi-final against Chelsea who need 2 goals at the Stamford Bridge to qualify , still the French team decided to rest Ibra even if the injury is not serious.

Laurent Blanc said: "Zlatan will not participate with the team in the coming weeks, if the injury wasn't increased to worse,he will return to the team before the end of the season,"
