Sandro Rosell resign from the presidency of Barcelona

Press reports on Thursday said  that Sandro Rosell -President of Barcelona club-, top of the Spanish football league, is getting ready to resign from his position. According to the newspapers "sport" and "El Mundo Deportivo", which issue in Catalonia, Russell may step down from the post of the President of the club to his vice president Josep Maria, in the time where he  is defending himself against the charges against him on waste of funds through a contract with the Brazilian striker Neymar from the ranks of the Santos seven months ago.

The judge of the Supreme Court in Spain , Pablo Ruiz agreed yesterday, Wednesday, to the attention of the civil suit filed by one of the members of the club Barcelona against the President of the club for the club Real Value compact with the Brazilian striker Neymar Da Silva.

It is scheduled that Barcelona official statement will be announced after the end of the emergency meeting of the Council of Administration later in the day.

Jordi Cassas, Barcelona Club member, had filed a lawsuit against Russell in December last year, after his refusal to answer questions related to the transition of Neymar to the Catalan group.
