Wenger : "Barcelona did not respect the laws"

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger revealed that FIFA had the right to prevent Barcelona from contracting with players during the next two periods of transfers.

The Arsenal French coach Arsene Wenger said that the International Football Federation was right when they prevented the Spanish Barcelona from contracting with any player during the periods of two years for violating regulations transfers of players under legal age.

Wenger said: "This is evidence that they did not respect the laws. The law is clear: You cannot contract with a player below the age of 16 years if you can't bring his family with the player. This is what is creating the debate".

Wenger added: "In this situation, the International Federation says that the parents must move with there children . I think that we must change the rules, because there is more competition to attract young players .but it is not possible to take a child away from his family".

He said: "Do we need to change the rules to allow transfer from the moment where the Club Offers residence to the parents? Perhaps we should go in this direction because this is what happens," .

Barcelona Club will resume the International Football Federation (FIFA) decision , according to what he said .
